MML Capital Partners is delighted to announce the promotion of Richard Mayers to Partner. Richard, who is based in MML’s London office, joined the firm in February 2012. He has played a leading role on investments into ATA Group, Optionis, Learning Curve and CH&CO Group. He represents MML on the board of each of those investments.
MML promotes Luke Jones to Partner
MML Capital has promoted Luke Jones to Partner. Luke has been a key part of the MML UK deal team over the last seven years, and has originated and worked on deals including Instant, Arena, FrontierMEDEX, WSH, EIC and Vanguard Healthcare. He started his career with MML in 2007 as an Investment Manager, having previously worked at Deloitte and PwC. Luke is one of five partners based in the UK.
MML Capital Partners raises first fund dedicated to Ireland
MML Capital Partners has raised its first dedicated fund for Ireland. MML Growth Capital Partners Ireland had a first and final close at a hard cap of €125m. Investors in the fund include Enterprise Ireland, AIB Group, GoldPoint Partners, two US subsidiaries of Cigna Corporation and the European Investment Fund. The investment team will be co-led by Neil McGowan and Rory Quirke, both based in Dublin.
Ed Baker joins MML London deal team
MML Capital Partners has appointed a new investment manager, hiring Edward Baker from KPMG. Edward will support the existing investment team in investing MML’s fifth fund which was raised in May 2011.
