MML switches from growing companies to building bikes for the day

It was an absolute pleasure to bring the full MML team together for a charity bike build event last month. Our international offices joined us to help build and donate some brand new, quality bikes for Berkshire Youth and The Wayz Centre in Bracknell.

The day was a fantastic opportunity to come together as a team, catch up in person, and apply our naturally competitive spirit to a great cause. Working with Berkshire Youth, we donated bikes to local young people who were facing transport challenges to facilitate their charitable endeavours and local community support. It was great to see the completed bikes being taken and delivered that day, having an immediate impact on the young people’s lives as well as a ripple effect on their wider charitable endeavours and community support.

Described by the event organisers as one of the most competitive groups yet, we achieved record-breaking scores for the bike builds which were quality checked, reviewed, and scored by specialist bike mechanics upon completion! We also thoroughly enjoyed supporting our team representatives in the 500m static bike sprint challenge, a closely contested battle – congratulations to Charles Devas who won by 0.3 seconds with a time of 43.4 seconds!

It was a real privilege to take part in such a purpose-driven activity, having an immediate impact and supporting a great cause – many thanks to o3e for organising the day!
