A unique approach to unlocking opportunity and potential

“We focus on long-term value creation by investing responsibly and supporting sustainable, well-governed businesses.”

Our Portfolio

Responsibility is integral to how we work at MML and how we invest. By embedding responsible principles across our own operations and throughout our portfolio, we help build resilient, forward-looking businesses that deliver lasting value for their people and stakeholders.

Our Investment Approach

Commit

We are long-term signatories to the
UN Principles for Responsible Investment and all new funds are classified as Article 8 under the SFDR

Exclude

We screen out sectors and activities that we consider unethical or inconsistent with our commitments. This early filter ensures alignment with our principles before deeper diligence takes place.

Research

We conduct ESG due diligence on all prospective investments. Using specialist third-party consultants, we assess material ESG risks, opportunities and sector-specific considerations to inform investment decision-making.

Monitor

We regularly monitor the ESG performance of our portfolio companies, collecting a comprehensive ESG metric set annually. This information is reported to our LPs and forms part of our regulatory commitments.

Enhance

We work in partnership with management teams to help deliver ESG progress throughout the investment period to encourage long-term value creation.

Our Charitable Work

We recognise the importance of contributing to the wider community and are committed to using our platform to create positive social impact. Through charitable partnerships, fundraising efforts and hands-on volunteering, our team works together to support organisations making a real difference to people’s lives.

MML is proud to support the Mountain Adventure Fund, helping give inner-city children the opportunity to be inspired and motivated by the outdoors. After providing initial funding for a successful pilot in 2023, we expanded our commitment in 2024 through both financial support and hands-on volunteering. MML employees have joined school residential trips, increasing the adult-to-child ratio and enabling children to participate in more challenging outdoor activities.
Valgiros is a shared accommodation centre in Paris that helps people who have experienced extreme poverty find stability and a new path forward. MML Paris employees spent a day volunteering in the community garden, working alongside residents on maintenance and improvement tasks. Their efforts helped make the garden an even more welcoming and comfortable space for everyone living there.
The London team returned to Little Village for our annual charity day this year. Little Village supports families with babies and children under five living in poverty across London by providing clothing and other essential items.
We spent the day volunteering at one of the charity’s hubs, sorting donations and
preparing hospital packs for newborn babies.
In addition to our hands-on support, we also raised funds for Little Village through our Christmas jumper day.
