Andrew and Sharand started working together at Macquarie in 2010 as founding members of the principal investment business which they were instrumental in growing into a $50 billion investor with market-leading returns and near-zero losses.
“MML Infrastructure builds on the proven investment approach that Andrew and I cultivated at Macquarie. At MML Infrastructure, we are committed to leveraging this knowledge, focusing on investments that deliver not only strong financial returns but also address essential social infrastructure needs. Our approach is rooted in sustainable and ethical investment practices, underscoring our dedication to creating a positive and lasting impact.”
In line with this impressive track record, MML Infrastructure has already marked its entry into the market with strategic investments in Global Packaging Services and Premier Modular.
“These companies epitomise our focus on distributed infrastructure businesses, distinguished by their essential services, leading market positions, asset backing and recurring revenue streams. Our investment ethos is to meld private equity value creation with the robustness of infrastructure, whilst maintaining a strong commitment to sustainable, asset-backed growth.”
MML Infrastructure’s strategy has received substantial investments from two of the world’s preeminent investment funds, including Constellation Capital, an investment platform managed by Wafra. Despite significant broader interest, we have been highly selective in the investors invited to participate in transactions so far.
Our Infrastructure team now consists of six investment professionals and is actively growing. Importantly, we are able to leverage MML’s established platform with comprehensive support in origination, finance, compliance, ESG and investor relations, with a 30-year heritage in private equity employing strategies that are highly differentiated by offering private equity returns with downside protection. MML Infrastructure builds on this heritage by generating private equity returns with downside protection provided by cash flow-generating assets.
