MML announces Partner and Investment Director promotions

We are absolutely delighted to announce the promotion of Karan Darroch and Louis De Montille to Partner, as well as William Stewart to Investment Director.

Karan joined MML from Dunedin in 2021, having an immediate impact on the finance team and indeed the wider MML business.

“Karan has displayed tremendous knowledge and skill, supporting our teams across geographies and multiple fund strategies, often playing an instrumental role in the completion of many of our deals and co-investments. Karan has shown great commitment to her role, working with enthusiasm to solve problems and build excellent relationships within MML and with our suppliers.”

Ian Wallis, co-CEO of MML.
Ian added:

“Louis has been central in the development of MML’s business in France, helping to establish and prove out the Partnership Capital model in the French market such that today MML enjoys a market leading position. Louis has been a great MML team player, focused on delivering high quality deal flow and building relationships both within MML and the broader market.”

Since joining MML eight years ago from Bpifrance and prior to that Rothschild, Louis has helped deliver the exits of Tournus and Nactis in Fund V and Luneau in Fund VI. In terms of new business, he has played a central role on Gravotech, LVO, Freeland and most recently ARHS.

Having originally spent time with the US team as an intern, Will joined MML permanently in 2018. Over the past 5 years Will has played an important role in MML’s growth and development, working on deals such as Rouse, Western Global, Roboyo and BSN, as well as the successful, but complex, exits of Learning Curve and Lomond.

Richard Mayers, Managing Partner (Partnership Capital) commented:

“Will is increasingly important to MML’s success in the UK, not least for his contribution to the mentorship and management of our growing investment team. We would also highlight that in parallel with his work efforts, Will has achieved an MSc in Finance from LSE, something he should be immensely proud of.”

Many congratulations, Karan, Louis and Will.
