How would you describe the culture at MML?

Experienced, talented, and ambitious people, but importantly there is a huge emphasis on building strong relationships, and ensuring we enjoy what we do. It is an intense job, so this is critical!

What do you most enjoy about being an investor?

Getting to work so closely with entrepreneurs and management teams to help build domestic and global leaders. There are always ups and downs, but it is incredibly exciting and a privileged position to be in.

Name five things you could not live without.

  1. My wife and three kids.
  2. Regular sport: Tennis, 5 aside football on a Tuesday night, poorly prepped triathlons, and the odd ropey game of village cricket.
  3. Getting out on the water.
  4. Hosting friends – I love cooking. Beef rendang is my go-to.
  5. Curry (preferably a Lamb Bhuna).

“Rob quickly grasped the business, the intricacies of our market and the massive opportunity in front of us. This was alongside building a strong relationship with the team. Post deal, the level of engagement and access to expertise has been fantastic. He’s also a good guy to work with!”
