How would you describe the culture at MML?

You find individuals from France, Europe, and the USA - it is a great community that behaves like a family. Everyone is very open-minded, flexible, and engaged in the projects we work on. There is a real entrepreneurial spirit, natural excitement and, fundamentally, care for the companies we back. We love to be different from traditional houses and build great partnerships with our management teams. At MML, there is no room for politics as we operate with humility, pragmatism, and efficiency.

How does your passion for sports shape your investment philosophy?

The values of playing sport and running can be replicated in your professional life. You need to practice, be structured and resilient, to work towards a “sparkling” mid-term goal which you can only achieve through partnership and teamwork with the companies. And keep smiling, with a sense of humour, to make life more cheerful!

What has been your greatest life adventure?

Moving to Japan for three years at 23. It was such a wonderful experience with different mantras, friends, reinventing your life and your family. A kind of rebirth: I felt blind, deaf and mute upon arrival, learning everything from zero.
