Chester joined MML from Metier, a pan-African private equity firm, where he spent six years working across its growth capital and sustainable capital funds. Prior to that, he worked in the M&A team at Houlihan Lokey. Chester is a CFA® charterholder and has degrees from the London School of Economics (MSc in Behavioural Science) and the University of Cape Town (BBusSc in Economics and Law).

What most attracted you to joining the MML team?

The team’s ambition for growth, its prior success, its meritocratic culture and authentic people all stood out to me.

What type of companies are you excited about?

I'm excited about market creators that fly under the radar, quietly solving latent inefficiencies that seem obvious to everyone in hindsight.

What does life look like when you leave the office?

Away from the office, I enjoy staying active through sports and adventure travel with family and friends. Golf, tennis and kitesurfing are my go-tos!
