MML Capital Partners (“MML”) has successfully exited its investment in leading independent contract catering group CH&Co, in a transaction that sees MML achieve a 3x return.
CH&Co Group has merged with Harbour & Jones, an independent and innovative caterer, in a move that enhances the Group’s diverse portfolio of specialist businesses and strengthens its position across the hospitality market, and particularly in education and the London region.
Leading independent education caterer, The Brookwood Partnership, and its sister company, ABsolutely Catering, have merged with CH&Co Group to become specialist education brands within the Group. The merger gives the newly enlarged Group a turnover in excess of £200m and its associated brands will provide catering at over 600 sites across the UK, employing nearly 6,000 in its team.
MML Capital Partners has brought together two major independent catering companies in a deal worth £75m. The companies, Royal Warrant Holder, CH&Co Ltd, and HCM (Host Catermasters) Group Ltd, have merged to create a new company called CH&Co Group with a combined turnover approaching £200m, and a team of 4,500 providing services to over 400 outlets across the UK and Ireland.
