What most attracted you to joining the MML team?

People are the business of business, and it was immediately clear to me that MML is built on that principle. What stood out most is how deeply this philosophy is embedded in the firm’s culture—both within the team and across its portfolio companies. It creates a unique alignment, where people are drawn to MML for the same reasons MML invests in them. That consistency and conviction behind the investment approach is something I’m excited to contribute to and help build on.

How did your career path bring you to work for a private equity house?

I spent my high school and early college summers working at my family’s three-generation business in South Florida. Watching my father and grandfather lead the company and drive growth through organic initiatives and acquisitions sparked my interest in the decisions and people behind successful companies. I carried that interest into investment banking, where I developed a financial perspective on businesses and transactions. Private equity became the natural intersection of those experiences... although after Macquarie, Moelis, and now MML, maybe my career path is just firms that start with M?

What has been your greatest life adventure?

Before attending Penn, I decided to take a gap year to try and pursue some of my other interests outside of the realm of economics and finance. Some of my highlights include climbing glaciers in Iceland with a local university’s climate change research team and achieving fluency in Spanish during six months of travel across South America—including a stint living in a tent while working on a gaucho’s estancia in Patagonia.
