Management Accountant

After matriculating from school in South Africa, Ash moved to the UK to complete her BSc in Biological Sciences from Durham University. She started her accounting career working for a property group before landing her first role in the private equity industry as an accounts assistant at Advent Life Sciences. Ash left Advent after three years to join MML as a management accountant.

What most attracted you to joining MML?

First and foremost, the team. MML has established itself not only as a company with a great reputation in the industry, but also as a company with such a fantastic group of people who form the MML family. Secondly, I was looking to get into a role where I felt challenged with the work I was given, whilst also being in a culture that would foster my learning.

How do you describe your job to your family and friends outside the industry?

As a management accountant, my main responsibilities include providing senior management with key operational information on MML’s corporate entities in order to aid decision making and planning. This includes financial reporting, forecasting and everything in between!

What does life look like when you leave the office?

When not locked away studying for my final ACCA exams, you’ll most likely find me at the pub watching the Springboks, on the golf green attempting to improve my putting skills, or glued to the TV on a Sunday waiting for Lando Norris to win his first F1 race!
