Andrew and Sharand started working together at Macquarie in 2010 as founding members of the principal investment business which they were instrumental in growing into a $50 billion investor with market-leading returns and near-zero losses.

About Andrew Honan
After graduating from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, Andrew moved back to Europe and joined Credit Suisse First Boston in London. He subsequently moved into investing with GSO (now Blackstone Credit) via BNP Paribas. Prior to joining MML, he most recently spent more than a decade at Macquarie in London and San Francisco, eventually leading the Capital Solutions business and sitting on the US Management Committee.

An Oxford-educated Rhodes Scholar, Sharand’s professional journey began when he was selected as a Goldman Sachs Global Leader. He then honed his finance skills in equity trading at Deutsche Bank in Singapore and Hong Kong, and in strategy consulting at McKinsey in London. Sharand’s pivotal roles as a founding member and Managing Director at Macquarie’s principal investment business for 13 years have led to his current position as co-Managing Partner at MML Infrastructure.
