What most attracted you to joining the MML team?

The Keystone strategy initially drew me in.  The opportunity to invest across a variety of meaningful businesses, with tangible asset bases in areas which make an actual difference to people was exciting. I was also drawn to MML because of the people - amongst a diversity of backgrounds is a defined backbone of trust, support and ambition within the team. 

What do you most enjoy about being an investor?

I'll never tire of the constant problem-solving and privilege of being able to sit down (or roam around on a site visit!) and dedicate time learning about so many different businesses, figuring how they operate and what ultimately makes them 'tick'. Meeting founders and their teams is also particularly motivating; it's exciting to put heads down together and devise a shared vision.   

What has been your greatest life adventure?

To date, probably spending a week surfing on the coast of Chile - there's nothing quite like the Pacific Ocean in winter to keep you humble.
