What most attracted you to joining the MML team?

Its unique collegial and entrepreneurial culture. Very early on, when considering several options before making a move, MML stood out in terms of culture. The approach is very hands-on and aims at empowering all its people to voice their opinions and have an actual impact when approaching an investment opportunity and supporting management teams. This sounds like the mantra of many firms but felt more genuine when it came to getting to know the MML team and their unique partnership approach.

How has your career path affected the way you think about investing?

I have lived across five different countries and worked with many blue-chip financial services institutions covering different Western European markets including the UK, the Nordics, Benelux, France, Spain and Germany. I believe this has been a great value add when approaching investing as it enables me to consider a wide range of different perspectives gained from my own life experiences and speaking four languages fluently. This has empowered me to always challenge the “status quo” investment idea and bring additional insights when it comes to supporting and helping management teams, mostly when it comes to some of the challenges they may face when expanding for instance.

Do you have a hidden talent? What is it?

I am a very good singer and have performed in front of a crowd of over 500 people when I was a business school student. I am also fond of deadlifting and was able to carry over one times my own weight in deadlifts, less than six months after starting my training; which was a great achievement as a woman starting at beginner level.
