MML continues to support the Mountain Adventure Fund

In 2023, we proudly joined forces with some longstanding friends to become a founding supporter and strategic partner of the Mountain Adventure Fund. Our aim is to give every inner-city child the opportunity to be inspired and motivated by the challenges mountain environments offer.

During 2023, we provided initial funding for a successful pilot programme, which enabled over 50 children from two London schools to join a one-week outdoor activity course at Plas Y Brenin with the Mountain Training Trust.

For 2024, we are delighted to be supporting Mountain Adventure Fund’s ambitious growth plans, offering volunteer time alongside our financial sponsorship, with a group of ten MML employees successfully completing a three-day training course to qualify them to join future school trips. Our volunteers will assist the instructors and school teachers during the residential trips, increasing the adult to child ratio and allowing the children to engage in more challenging activities. We also hope to maintain ongoing relationships with each school to enjoy other outdoor activities at local venues throughout the school year.

We look forward to seeing the impact of our support and volunteer time, helping these children be inspired and motivated by their mountain adventures. Learn more here: Mountain Adventure Fund | Plas y Brenin (pyb.co.uk)
